Web Strategy and Rebuild

Your website isn’t performing and nobody is confident about what to fix first. You may have already spent money on an agency redesign, a freelance developer, or an internal project that lost momentum. The site looks different but the underlying problems remain.

That usually means the issues are structural. The information architecture doesn’t match how your customers actually look for things, the technical foundations are weak, and there’s no content strategy tying it together. I work through all of it, from the initial audit through to launch and handover.

What this covers

I start with an audit of the current site and build a strategy around what needs to change. Then I handle the redesign and rebuild.

  • Planning

    • Digital presence audit

Assessing content, structure, UX, technical SEO, and performance against business goals.
    • Content gap analysis

Identifying what's missing, what's outdated, and what needs restructuring.
    • Information architecture

Organising the site around how customers actually look for things.
  • Delivery

    • UX design and page structure

Shaping the experience, layout, and navigation based on the strategy.
    • Technical SEO foundations

Site structure, crawlability, Core Web Vitals, and structured data built into the build.
    • Full site build

WordPress with Bricks Builder. Clean, performant, and built for the team to manage.
  • Handover

    • Content management training

Hands-on sessions so the team can update and maintain the site independently.
    • Maintenance guidelines

Documentation covering what to monitor, how to update, and what to avoid.
    • Handover and ownership

Clear assignment of ongoing responsibilities so nothing falls through the gaps.

Process

How I work

I work start to finish on these engagements. There is no handoff between strategist and builder because I handle both. I stay embedded with the team throughout, from the initial audit through to launch and handover. If the engagement needs additional capability like copywriting, illustration, or back-end development, I bring in trusted collaborators and manage the process.

Every site I build uses Bricks Builder on WordPress. It is clean, performant, and maintainable. I build with the assumption that the team will need to manage the site without me, so everything is documented and the handover is thorough.

  • 01

Who this is for

For businesses that know their website isn't pulling its weight.

Has people, no web direction

You have developers or IT staff, but nobody connecting the web presence to business outcomes.

Spent money, nothing changed

You've worked with agencies or freelancers before. The results didn't stick.

No digital capability in-house

You know the website needs work but don't have the experience to figure out what to fix first.

Growing faster than the site

The business has moved on. The website still reflects what the company looked like two years ago.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a web strategy and rebuild typically take?

Most engagements run one to three months, depending on the size of the site, the complexity of the content, and whether additional capability is needed. Smaller sites with clear scope can move faster.

Do you work with my existing developers or bring your own?

Both, depending on the situation. If you have a development team, I work alongside them. If you don’t, I handle the build myself or bring in trusted collaborators for specialist work.

What platform do you build on?

WordPress with Bricks Builder. I choose it because it gives teams the ability to manage content independently after handover without needing a developer for every update.

Will my team be able to manage the site after launch?

Yes. Every engagement includes content management training, maintenance guidelines, and documentation. I build with the assumption that the team will run the site without me going forward.

Not sure where to start?

If you know something needs to change but aren't sure which service fits, that's normal. Most engagements start with a conversation. Tell me what's going on and I'll tell you what I think would help.
